The UK’s largest online pharmacy chain said Tuesday it will launch its first generic version of erectile dysfunction drug Viagra following reports of fake versions of the popular prescription drug.

The BPSC said it is working with regulatory authorities to investigate and, if they are found to be counterfeit, would also be launching the new drug in the UK.
In February, the BPSC said it is reviewing an existing licence to sell the generic drug, and that it is working with Pfizer to make an agreement with regulatory authorities to ensure the licence is fulfilled and that the drug remains on the UK’s safe-eland-day list for sale.
The online pharmacy chain said that it is currently in the process of launching its own generic version of Viagra, and that the first-timeordering service in the UK will not be affected.
